About The Position
We’re looking for a Data Engineer who can contribute to data pipeline development end-to-end—combining strong Python fundamentals with cloud and data infrastructure experience.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in data engineering, software engineering, or a related field
- Strong proficiency in Python, with experience in Pandas and/or PySpark
- Solid SQL skills and experience with relational databases (preferably PostgreSQL)
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services
- Experience building and maintaining production data pipelines
- Strong attention to data quality and validation practices
- Familiarity with Git and version control workflows
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Authorized to work in the United States
Nice To Haves
- Experience building machine learning data pipelines
- Familiarity with Terraform or infrastructure-as-code
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions)
- Familiarity with Parquet / PyArrow and data lake patterns
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, validation, and delivery
- Write clean, efficient Python code using Pandas and PySpark for data processing
- Optimize data workflows for performance, reliability, and cost
- Automate data onboarding workflows to increase speed and consistency
- Integrate client data with public and private data sources
- Identify and resolve data quality issues across the pipeline lifecycle
- Utilize AWS resources to manage data infrastructure
- Support and improve pipeline orchestration and job execution
- Contribute to system reliability, monitoring, and security best practices
- Partner with engineering, data science, and product teams to deliver data solutions
- Own projects from concept through production
- Communicate clearly on progress, tradeoffs, and outcomes
