About The Position

OMB is looking for a skilled Data Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our data warehouse infrastructure. You'll be the backbone of our data platform — building the pipelines, structures, and systems that power analytics and business intelligence across the organization, including the Power BI reports that drive decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA) in Computer Science or related discipline or prior work experience equivalent to: 1 year experience with MS SQL, PostgreSQL, Azure Data Platform, Snowflake, Power BI, Python, Java, MS Power Platform, and SharePoint
  • Strong experience in writing and editing documents and work products
  • Ability to translate business data requests into technical requirements
  • Disciplined in protecting and managing highly confidential information/material.
  • Effective time management skills (capable of managing and prioritizing multiple tasks)
  • Ability to be professional, composed, and assertive in all situations; respond with appropriate urgency to ensure requests are completed within expected timeframes/service level agreement.
  • Demonstrated self-motivation; productive, efficient, organized, accurate work output with no supervision while working independently and within a team environment.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with daily collaboration with individuals to facilitate production needs and audit parameters
  • Ability to apply strategic planning, activity coordination, and problem-solving techniques to complex issues of multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situations.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data warehouse architecture using Snowflake; including databases, schemas, and table structures
  • Develop and manage ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and related Azure services
  • Implement data modeling best practices (star schema, snowflake schema, dimensional modeling) aligned with business needs
  • Manage data ingestion from diverse sources (APIs, databases, SaaS tools) into the data warehouse
  • Monitor, optimize, and tune Snowflake performance including virtual warehouses, clustering keys, and query optimization
  • Assist in building and maintaining Power BI reports and dashboards — including data modeling in Power BI, writing DAX measures, and connecting reports to Snowflake and Azure data sources
  • Enforce data governance policies, access controls, and data quality standards
  • Collaborate with team members and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate these into solutions
  • Maintain documentation for data pipelines, schemas, and infrastructure

Benefits

  • Excellent work environment where you are appreciated and recognized for your individual efforts and contributions.
  • Stability with a locally owned community bank that is growing and expanding in the region.
  • Paid Leave: Paid Time Off, Military, Bereavement, and Jury Duty
  • Full and partially paid insurance plans: life w/ AD&D, disability, medical, and dental
  • Cost friendly insurance: vision, critical illness, accident, supplemental life w/ AD&D
  • 100% match of retirement savings (up to plan limit)
  • Discounted financial service fees on select OMB products and services.
  • Plus more
