About The Position

We are seeking a Data Engineer to join a highly collaborative Database Administrator team supporting critical enterprise systems. The individual selected will focus on day-to-day database operations, monitoring, troubleshooting, and supporting business intelligence and application teams across the organization. This role is ideal for those who enjoy hands-on technical work, problem-solving, and learning systems in a fast-paced production environment.

Requirements

• Understanding of SQL Server data models and foundational database principles
• Strong troubleshooting mindset with the ability to analyze logs and system issues

Responsibilities

• Monitor SQL Server environments and respond to alerts, errors, and performance issues
• Write and maintain basic to intermediate T-SQL queries for troubleshooting and operational support
• Perform basic database migrations and assist with platform upgrades
• Investigate application and data issues by reviewing logs and failed processes (including SSIS packages)
• Resolve ServiceNow tickets and collaborate with application, network, and infrastructure teams
• Support internally developed and proprietary systems (training provided)
• Contribute to ongoing initiatives, including SQL Server version upgrades and environment
• Participate in an on-call schedule rotation (Monday-Monday) anticipated frequency monthly
