About The Position

itD is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data architectures that power marketing analytics and survey measurement initiatives across a global portfolio of consumer applications. This role will directly support marketing efficacy by delivering automated, high-impact data solutions and insights that enhance decision-making across cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in ETL development, SQL, Python, data modeling, and data warehousing, along with a proven track record of building robust pipelines, dashboards, and analytical frameworks in fast-paced environments. Location: Remote – United States Duration: 6 months Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday (No OT) Pay Rate: Competitive market rate (based on experience) We provide comprehensive medical benefits, a 401k plan, paid holidays, and more. About the Team This role sits within the Marketing Analytics and Operations Group (XFAN – 002555) and supports the Survey Warehouse and Measurement area. The Data Engineer will collaborate with marketing data science teams to design and build large-scale data systems supporting applications including Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Threads. You will join a team of 7, including team members based in London, and may participate in cross-regional collaboration. This is a high-visibility role supporting data initiatives that impact billions of users and millions of businesses globally.

Requirements

  • 5–6 years of professional experience working primarily with data (Data Engineer, Data Analyst, Data Scientist, or similar role)
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with SQL
  • 5+ years of experience developing ETL pipelines
  • 5+ years of experience in data modeling and data warehousing
  • 5+ years of experience with data visualization and dashboard development
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python strongly preferred)
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with engineers, scientists, and analytics teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)

  • Experience in Marketing Analytics or Marketing Technology (MarTech)
  • Experience working within large-scale or big tech environments
  • Experience supporting global or cross-timezone teams
  • Experience participating in on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

  • Translate marketing analytics and survey data requirements into scalable data models, automated pipelines, and reporting solutions
  • Design and develop data warehouses, dashboards, and analytical frameworks to support marketing programs and campaign performance measurement
  • Build and optimize ETL processes integrating structured and unstructured data sources
  • Solve complex data integration challenges using advanced SQL techniques and data engineering best practices
  • Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and marketers to define data requirements and present insights clearly and effectively
  • Conceptualize and evaluate large-scale data architectures, balancing performance, scalability, and operational efficiency
  • Implement and maintain data security and privacy safeguards, ensuring compliance and resolving data quality issues
  • Attend regular internal practice community meetings
  • Collaborate with your itD practice team on industry thought leadership
  • Complete client case studies and learning material (blogs, media material)
  • Build out material to contribute to the Digital Transformation practice
  • Attend internal itD networking events (in person and virtual)
  • Work with leadership on career fast-track opportunities
