About The Position

Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering or backend engineering with strong data focus
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with modern data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Databricks)
- Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines using tools like Airflow, dbt, or Dagster
- Strong understanding of data modeling and scalable data infrastructure
- Experience working with production data systems (not just analytics or BI dashboards)
- Ability to work cross-functionally and translate data into actionable insights
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
- Experience in fast-paced startup or high-growth environments
Nice To Haves
- Experience with healthcare data (EDI, HL7, FHIR, claims data, clinical workflows)
- Experience with real-time or streaming data pipelines
- Background in backend engineering with data exposure
- Familiarity with BI tools (Hex, Sigma, or similar)
- Experience with statistical analysis or data science workflows
- Strong academic background or experience at high-growth startups
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines integrating data from multiple sources (EMRs, APIs, internal systems)
- Develop and manage data infrastructure, including warehouses, data lakes, and transformation layers
- Model complex business and healthcare domains into structured, analytics-ready schemas
- Build dashboards, analytics systems, and alerting frameworks to support business decision-making
- Partner with product, engineering, and leadership to deliver data-driven insights
- Optimize data systems for scalability, reliability, and performance
- Contribute to the long-term architecture and strategy of the company’s data platform
- Enable AI-driven workflows by providing clean, structured, and reliable data
