The Gist… Our Data Engineer will provide engineering support to staff formulating and applying mathematical modeling and other optimizing methods to develop and interpret information that assists management with decision making, policy formulation, or other managerial functions. May collect and analyze data and develop decision support software, service, or products. May develop and supply optimal time, cost, or logistics networks for program evaluation, review, or implementation.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship required to have a Top Secret clearance required
  • 3+ years of relevant demonstrated experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide all report deliverables in the standard formatting, following the standard operating procedures for creation, documentation, storage, validation, and maintenance of these reports.
  • Gather business requirements, design, and execute recurring reports from databases of record, at the prescribed frequency, for client staff review.
  • Gather business requirements, design, and execute reports to provide deliverables for client directed taskings.
  • Conduct daily, or as requested by client staff, peer reviews of deliverables in support of the tasking validation process in writing.
  • Complete a “Weekly Population Report Validation” process by validating all standard populations and filters by the first business day of each week in the system(s) of record as identified by the federal staff, identify, and report any data quality issues to report to client staff.
  • Deliverable(s) will be communicated in writing by the 3PM EST on the first business day of each week to client staff.
  • Support all ad-hoc activities, requests, model, and tool enhancements, prioritizing and validating requests with client stakeholders.
  • Work with the Unit Chief and client staff to determine delivery mechanisms and deadlines.
