We are currently hiring a Data Engineer to support our global software client in Boise, ID. This role is responsible for managing and transforming critical datasets from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency for downstream reporting and analytics. This role emphasizes data integration, validation, and automation, while also supporting and enhancing existing tools and applications through scripting and development. This is a full-time, long-term position with Monday-Friday day shift hours of 8am-5pm. This is a hybrid schedule with the current onsite requirement of 3 days per week; please note this is subject to change at any time based upon client requirements. You also must reside locally to the client-site in Boise, Idaho, and must already be eligible for employment in the US without visa sponsorship.

  • Acquire, consolidate, validate, and load data from external sources into SQL Server databases.
  • Perform data quality checks, including deduplication and completeness reviews, to ensure reliable reporting.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline recurring data loads and processes.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance existing web-based tools and applications.
  • Collaborate with Customer Assurance and tool users to analyze issues, gather requirements, and implement enhancements.
  • Provide training and support for tool users.
  • Participate in quality and process improvement initiatives, including preparation for system upgrades.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server (queries, stored procedures, data validation, and optimization).
  • Development/scripting experience with VB.NET, ASP.NET, and C#.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, charts, advanced data manipulation).
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new coding languages and technologies.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Team-oriented and adaptable to evolving processes.
  • Power BI or other reporting/visualization experience.
  • Background in ETL development, data pipelines, or data analysis.
  • Familiarity with LaserJet Printer systems (a plus, not required).
  • A competitive pay of $28/hr.
