Oil and Gas Extraction

Are you ready to solve real-world problems at a scale? We're not just moving data; we're fueling the future. In the dynamic world of energy, data is our most valuable resource. We are seeking a brilliant and driven Data Engineer to architect the data solutions that will redefine our industry. You will be at the heart of our mission, transforming a vast and exciting variety of datasets—from geological surveys to real-time sensor readings—into strategic assets. As a Data Engineer on our team, you won't just be building pipelines; you'll be creating the central nervous system for our data-driven operations. Working with a modern tech stack in a hybrid on-prem and cloud environment, you will have the autonomy to design and implement innovative solutions to our most complex challenges. You will join a collaborative team of data scientists, location intelligence experts, and ML engineers, all dedicated to fostering a culture where data and analytics come first.

  • Architect the Future: Design, build, and deploy scalable, robust data pipelines and architectures that are the lifeblood of our organization.
  • Solve Complex Puzzles: Partner with stakeholders, data scientists, and analysts to understand their toughest questions and deliver elegant, high-impact data solutions.
  • Master the Data Flow: Seamlessly integrate data from a multitude of sources (APIs, IoT, databases, flat files), ensuring world-class consistency, quality, and reliability.
  • Automate and Empower: Develop sophisticated automation workflows and BI solutions that empower business users to make smarter, faster decisions.
  • Be a Data Evangelist: Champion a data-first culture by mentoring others, contributing to our knowledge base, and advising on best practices for process automation and visualization.
  • Stay on the Cutting Edge: Continuously explore, evaluate, and implement emerging technologies to keep our data ecosystem ahead of the curve.
  • Demonstrated experience working with oil and gas industry datasets (e.g., well production, drilling, completions, SCADA, seismic).
  • Architect and implement scalable, near real-time data streaming solutions using technologies such as Apache Kafka, Apache Flink, or Azure Event Hubs.
  • Write elegant and performant SQL, easily handling advanced joins, subqueries, aggregations, and complex functions.
  • Comfortable building with Python and its core data libraries (pandas, numpy, SQLAlchemy), including robust error handling and packaging.
  • Hands-on experience in cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and their native data services.
  • Experience with modern data warehousing platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery.
  • Understanding of the modern data stack and experience with tools like dbt, Airflow, Fivetran, Matillion, or SSIS.
  • Familiarity with query federation platforms (e.g., Denodo, Trino/Starburst) and relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
  • Competitive compensation and benefits programs including variable pay, health care coverage, retirement plan, protection coverage, time off and leave programs, training and development opportunities.
  • Annual cash bonus and long term incentive program.
