In this role you will be part of the Hardware Engineering team and support testing through the organization, analysis and tool development for data collected during subsystem and vehicle testing. Havoc has a large and growing fleet of vehicles, all of which provide telemetry including health and performance metrics of each vehicle. This role will seek to continue to develop tools to display data in real time or near real time to support testing as well as to post process data and provide insights into performance, vehicle health, and design iteration.

  • Build and maintain scalable data pipelines for streamed and logged telemetry from unmanned vehicle systems and test assets.
  • Develop tools to analyze and visualize time series data for debugging, trend detection, design iteration and predictive analysis.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to identify the data needed to validate subsystem and vehicle performance.
  • Support development of simulation and performance prediction tools using real-world data.
  • Ensure data integrity through automated validation, cleaning, and transformation pipelines.
  • Design and implement storage solutions for both real-time and archived datasets (e.g., AWS S3, SQL/NoSQL).
  • Create dashboards and reporting tools for internal users to monitor vehicle health and system behavior.
  • Document data systems and collaborate across teams to improve the company’s overall data fluency.
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Proficiency in Python or similar language for data processing and scripting.
  • Familiarity with time series databases and data visualization tools (e.g., Grafana, LabView, IADS, Nominal).
  • Experience handling large datasets from IoT, autonomous, or embedded systems.
  • Knowledge of geospatial data formats and streaming telemetry.
  • Comfort working with cloud storage and compute services (e.g., AWS S3, Lambda, EC2).
  • Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL data stores.
  • Experience with simulation or performance modeling tools is a plus.
  • Experience with maritime or aerospace systems.
  • Background in signal processing or anomaly detection.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools for monitoring and deploying data infrastructure.
