The University of Virginia School of Data Science (SDS) is seeking an experienced and capable Data Engineer. This role will be in a unique position to build the overall data infrastructure and reporting capabilities from the ground up. They will seek out and work with data owners to import data from across the University, build data infrastructure to combine and maintain data, build out data sets and models for consumption, build pipelines for business intelligence, and build out business intelligence solutions for use across the school. The Data Engineer will report to the Director of Information Technology and Strategy and drive data driven processes and data driven decision making across the School of Data Science by providing data that not only supports the first school of data science in the nation, but in a way that exemplifies the use of our own data.
