About The Position

CTG is seeking a highly experienced Data Engineer with deep expertise in streaming data platforms and capital markets to support a high-impact initiative involving real-time data processing and legacy system modernization. Location: Atlanta, GA Duration: 8 months Key Responsibilities: Build and optimize real-time and batch data pipelines using Python Develop streaming solutions leveraging Kafka/MQ technologies Design and maintain scalable ETL workflows for large datasets Integrate and manage data solutions in AWS/cloud environments Support CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and monitoring Partner with business and technical teams on capital markets data use cases Assist in migration and decommissioning of legacy systems (including Ab Initio) Required Skills: 10+ years of experience in Python and data engineering Strong expertise in ETL development and large-scale data processing Hands-on experience with Java, Kafka/MQ streaming technologies Experience with AWS or cloud-based data platforms Solid understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Ab Initio (legacy systems) Knowledge of capital markets, especially derivatives Familiarity with risk engines or pricing models Exposure to Palantir Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required. Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Python and data engineering
  • Strong expertise in ETL development and large-scale data processing
  • Hands-on experience with Java, Kafka/MQ streaming technologies
  • Experience with AWS or cloud-based data platforms
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices
