Data Engineer, Lead The Opportunity: Booz Allen is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to architect, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines and platforms that transform complex data into actionable insights. You will serve as a technical and strategic leader, responsible for building and maintaining enterprise data infrastructure that powers analytics, reporting, and mission-critical decision-making. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, you will set engineering standards, ensure data quality, and drive innovation, enabling the organization to leverage data as a secure, strategic asset at scale. Requirements

5+ years of experience with building and maintaining data pipelines
5+ years of experience with ETL development in Java, Python, SQL, or Scala
3+ years of experience with PostgreSQL or Kafka
Experience with AWS services, including RDS and Aurora
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering
Ability to obtain Security+ certification within 6 months of hire

Nice To Haves

Experience with Kafka Connect, Kafka Streams, or other Kafka ecosystem tools
Experience with NiFi for data flow automation
Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD, or related orchestration tools
Experience with monitoring tools2, such as Grafana, Prometheus, or Elasticsearch
Experience with real-time data and streaming architectures
