About The Position

The position is focused on assisting with data pipelines, supporting data sets, and providing analytics support. The role involves collaborating with team members to ensure data accuracy and usability in dashboards and reports. The individual will also help identify and fix data quality issues, prepare training datasets for machine learning projects, and contribute to data visualizations. Regular travel to company and subsidiary offices, as well as client and supplier meetings across North America, is required. The company emphasizes safety and client satisfaction as top priorities.

Requirements

• Coursework or familiarity with SQL and one programming language (preferably Python).
• Interest in data engineering concepts such as ETL/ELT, data modeling, and cloud data platforms.
• Exposure to or interest in data science methods, including statistics, machine learning, or AI.
• Curiosity about data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
• Utilizes Microsoft Office-based applications and project management software systems appropriate for this role.

Nice To Haves

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Assist with designing, testing, and maintaining basic data pipelines for reporting and analytics.
• Support the preparation and curation of medallion data sets in Microsoft Fabric.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure data accuracy and usability in dashboards and reports.
• Identify and fix data quality issues, such as missing values or inconsistent formats.
• Prepare training datasets for machine learning projects.
• Experiment with Python notebooks to explore data and build small models.
• Contribute to Power BI dashboards or simple visualizations that highlight business insights.
• Document data pipelines, processes, and findings for team sharing.
• Work with data engineers, data scientists, and business analysts to support project deliverables.
• Travel to company and subsidiary offices and other locations as required.
• Model and reinforce safety as a top priority.
