Compensation The compensation target for this role is: $108,000 - $127,000 Job Summary As a Data Engineer III, you will be accountable to the Analytics department as a staff team member with the skills and proficiencies to move the group forward and help achieve both team and department goals. You should feel comfortable leading large projects from conception to delivery and working with stakeholders to manage scope and timelines. You may be tasked with specialized elective work, such as architecture, to help drive department priorities quickly. Job Description

Requirements

  • 4-8 years of experience and a bachelor's degree
  • Expert knowledge of SQL.
  • Experience with data modelling techniques and processes from architecture to implementation.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to find root cause to errors.
  • 3-5 years of experience building data pipelines and prepping data for use in a visualization tool.
  • Experience with data profiling, validation and QA
  • Experience with programming languages, especially Python, for ETL applications.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to discuss requirements with stakeholders.
  • Strong written communication skills and the ability to document your work.
  • Leadership and mentoring skills that influence others in a positive way, and help them grow their confidence and skill sets

Nice To Haves

  • Prior work with Snowflake a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a mentor for junior members of the team.
  • Assist newer team members in their assigned tasks and help them learn and grow in the Analytics space.
  • Provide meaningful input into the direction the team should head.
  • Lead large project discussions with stakeholders.
  • Help gather requirements, create Jira tickets, and take initiatives from conception to completion.
  • Maintain working knowledge of both Data Engineering and Data Governance processes, roles, and tools and help build collaboration between teams.
  • Be a thought leader in the realms of DBT and Snowflake processes, architectures, modelling, and capabilities.
  • Assist team members as needed with pull request approvals.
  • Assess data model design accuracy, and efficiency, and lead refactoring efforts when necessary.
