About The Position

As a Data Engineer III at Walmart, you will be responsible for addressing business problems through analytics, big data analytics, and automation. You will support the development of business cases and recommendations, own the delivery of project activities, and assist in process updates and changes. Your role will also involve supporting data governance processes and implementing data governance practices. You will extract data from databases, create data pipelines, and transform data to meet business needs. Additionally, you will analyze complex data elements and contribute to data modeling, ensuring efficient data flows and system integration. You will write code to develop solutions, create test cases, and deploy software to production servers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field plus 2 years of experience; OR Master's degree in the same fields.
• Experience coding in an object-oriented programming language (Python, Java).
• Experience with Big Data Handling using Apache Spark.
• Familiarity with cloud resources such as Google Cloud Platform and Azure.
• Proficiency in SQL programming language.
• Experience writing test cases and validating solutions.
• Familiarity with integration tools like Git and GitHub.
• Experience creating analytics reports using visualization libraries in Python.
• Knowledge of machine learning models for business requirements.
• Experience creating and maintaining data pipelines.
• Familiarity with Relational Database Management Systems.
• Knowledge of web development languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, NodeJS, React.
