The Data Engineering team at SAMS is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data systems that support business-critical applications. Requirements

  • Strong understanding of big data systems and architecture ecosystems
  • Experience with cloud-based technologies such as Azure, GCP, or other cloud services
  • Enterprise Experience in working with Databricks or Snowflake or Airflow
  • Proficiency in coding languages such as SQL, Scala, and Python
  • Strong understanding of Spark and enterprise-level experience
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and 2 years' experience in software engineering or related field.
  • Option 2: 4 years’ experience in software engineering or related field.
  • Option 3: Master's degree in Computer Science.

Nice To Haves

  • Data engineering, database engineering, business intelligence, or business analytics
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 2 years' experience in software engineering or related field
  • Background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.
  • Knowledge of accessibility best practices and joining to create accessible products and services following Walmart’s accessibility standards and guidelines for supporting an inclusive culture.
