The job purpose is to design, build, and support modern data platforms that enable advanced analytics and machine learning solutions. This role focuses on creating reliable, scalable, and cost-effective data infrastructure. The engineer will contribute to building data pipelines, performing business and data analysis, and supporting technical design under guidance, while developing foundational skills in platform engineering and cloud technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent level preferred.
• Experienced practitioner able to work unsupervised (13 months to 3 years).

Responsibilities

• Supports end users in the designs and build of data pipelines using platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, and BigQuery.
• Supports data movement, applies best practices for performance and architecture.
• Designs and implements scalable cloud environments with a focus on automation using Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform), CI/CD pipelines, and scripting.
• Understands resilient, scalable systems, cloud cost optimization, and security.
• Collaborates with infrastructure and security teams and supports onboarding of cloud data solutions.
• Actively develops capabilities through assessments, training, coaching, and professional accreditation.
• Maintains awareness of relevant technologies, regulations, and industry best practices through continuous education, conferences, and media.
• Ensures system reliability through proactive monitoring, alerting, and dashboarding.
• Manages incident response, on-call support, and performance reviews across infrastructure and code.
• Applies agile methodologies and strong coding standards.
• Manages source control and implements CI/CD for high-quality, maintainable software delivery.
