About The Position

The Data Engineer position within Amazon's Global Procurement Technology team focuses on managing and analyzing large datasets to enhance the supply chain operations. The role involves collaboration with various teams to build data solutions that simplify complexities in procurement processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, database design, and experience with AWS technologies.

Requirements

• 3+ years of data engineering experience
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
• Experience working on and delivering end-to-end projects independently
• Proficiency in at least one modern scripting or programming language (Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS)
• Experience with SQL
• Familiarity with AWS technologies (Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, IAM roles and permissions)
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, analytics, mathematics, statistics, IT or equivalent

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of distributed systems related to data storage and computing
• Familiarity with batch and streaming data architectures (Kafka, Kinesis, Flink, Storm, Beam)
