The Cloud & Data Engineer (Azure) is responsible for building and maintaining data pipelines, automation workflows, and cloud infrastructure. The role will leverage Azure and Databricks for data engineering, while using Power Automate and Task Scheduler to support operational automation and recurring processes. In addition to supporting internal data platforms, this role will grow into assisting with the setup and deployment of Azure environments for client projects using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
  • 2-5+ years of experience in data engineering, cloud engineering, or related field
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure
  • Experience working with Databricks
  • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
  • Experience with data integration from multiple sources
  • Experience with automation or scripting

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain data pipelines using Azure and Databricks
  • Develop ETL/ELT workflows using Python, SQL, and Spark
  • Support and optimize data ingestion from multiple sources (APIs, databases, files, etc.)
  • Implement and maintain automation workflows using Power Automate
  • Support Azure cloud environment setup and configuration for internal projects
  • Assist in deploying cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates)
