Requirements

  • Strong experience with SQL and complex query development across large datasets
  • Hands-on experience with Python for data processing and transformations
  • Experience building and supporting data pipelines in Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Solid understanding of ETL concepts, data modeling, and data quality practices
  • Experience supporting cloud-based analytics or data platforms
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate business requirements into data solutions
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and contribute to concurrent projects
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related fieldOR
  • Associate’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering with 2+ years of relevant experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and/or Microsoft Fabric
  • Hands-on use of Terraform or other IaC tools
  • Experience with BigQuery performance tuning (partitioning, clustering)
  • Background supporting analytics, AI, or data science workloads
  • Familiarity with data profiling or exploration tools (Rapid SQL, AQT, Informatica, Information Analyzer)

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and optimize large, complex datasets that meet functional and non-functional business requirements
  • Design, build, and maintain batch and near–real-time data pipelines for structured and unstructured data
  • Write, optimize, and troubleshoot advanced SQL queries for data mining and analytics use cases
  • Develop and maintain data transformations using SQL and Python
  • Support data ingestion, integration, messaging, CI/CD, and processing services in cloud environments
  • Apply data modeling best practices and optimize cloud data warehouses (e.g., partitioning and clustering in BigQuery)
  • Use Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) to support automated provisioning and configuration
  • Perform data profiling, quality checks, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for data pipelines and platforms
  • Collaborate in an iterative, product-focused environment with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders
