About The Position

The AMZL Orbit Data Engineering team is seeking top-notch Data Engineers to lead the engineering of big data solutions that advance Transportation models to the next generation. This role involves building real-time analytical platforms using a variety of big data tools and AWS technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, EMR, SNS, SQS, Lambda, Kinesis Firehose, and DynamoDB Streams. The ideal candidate is passionate about data and analytics, thrives on working with large volumes of data, and enjoys tackling complex technical challenges. They should be an expert in data modeling, ETL design, and business intelligence tools, and capable of partnering with the business to identify strategic opportunities for data infrastructure improvements that yield significant business impact. The position requires a self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity, can think broadly while maintaining attention to detail, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, global team environment.

Requirements

• 3+ years of data engineering experience
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines

Nice To Haves

• Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions
• Experience with non-relational databases / data stores (object storage, document or key-value stores, graph databases, column-family databases)
