About The Position

Requirements

• 5+ years of data engineering experience
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
• Experience with SQL
• Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions
• Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree
• Experience with non-relational databases/data stores (object storage, document or key-value stores, graph databases, column-family databases)

Responsibilities

• Identify and scope the right data architecture and technology for analyzing Amazon customer behavioral questions.
• Enhance data infrastructure and availability in partnership with engineering teams.
• Design, build, and implement ETL processes using AWS and similar technologies.
• Implement anomaly detection systems to proactively address data quality issues.
• Enable large scale analytics using EMR and other big data technologies.
• Establish and implement technology best practices across the organization.
• Work on proof of concepts for the adoption of new technology and tools.
