About The Position

As a Data-Driven Insights Analyst with a focus on Market Research & Competitor Intelligence, you will join the Marketing Insights team -- a high-performing team of analysts responsible for financial advisor, investor, and industry insights, as well as performance analytics. Your role specifically focuses on overseeing the design, execution and reporting of firmwide market research studies and competitor information gathering and reporting. You will also provide analytical support for team projects as needed, utilizing your technical and data visualization skills to manage data, build reporting platforms and present findings to key stakeholders. In addition, you will help lead efforts to further incorporate AI and predictive analytics into your work to improve efficiencies and produce deeper and more actionable insights. Requirements

  • Demonstrated knowledge of quantitative and qualitative market research methods
  • Demonstrated knowledge of competitor intelligence data gathering and reporting
  • Knowledge and utilization of large relational databases
  • Data analysis and visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI
  • Project management processes
  • Awareness of relevant emerging tools and techniques that can be adopted at Raymond James
  • Familiarity and proficiency with the utilization of Qualtrics in support of survey deployment
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Excel, SQL, PowerPoint and Tableau, with exposure to and utilization of CRM tools preferred
  • The utilization of AI (i.e. ChatGPT, Copilot) to improve efficiency and deepen insights
  • The application of relevant mathematical operations (i.e. frequency distribution, test reliability, analysis of variance (ANOVA), correlation techniques, sampling, and factor analysis) in support of analytics
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills with ability to convey complex data insights clearly and effectively to stakeholders
  • Ability to successfully project manage multiple assignments and meet SLA/delivery requirements
  • Meeting or exceeding client service expectations set by leadership.
  • Ability to Plan and conduct end-to-end market research -- including study design, audience selection/sampling, questionnaire development and deployment, and the building and presentation of reporting
  • Develop innovative ways to collect and disseminate relevant competitor intelligence, leveraging CRM data
  • Engage directly with business leaders to thoroughly understand their business needs.
  • Effectively communicate and present research-driven recommendations to management.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the design, execution, reporting and presentation of multiple firmwide market research studies. Examples include recurring the recurring Voice of Advisor, Voice of Client and Spring Recruiting Research studies, as well as a variety of other ongoing and ad hoc surveys.
  • Design, moderate and report findings from qualitative market research studies (i.e. focus groups, in-depth interviews) when needed.
  • Act as the primary administrator for firm deployment and utilization of Qualtrics, the firm’s survey platform.
  • Support the design, execution, delivery and presentation of competitor intelligence reporting, primarily in the context of financial advisor recruiting.
  • Lead, manage, and execute assigned data analysis projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to project scope, and effective communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support the development, deployment and maintenance of performance dashboards and management reports
  • Become the subject matter expert on firm market research and competitive intelligence best practices -- ensuring quality and reliability and providing feedback to business process owners and the IT department as needed.
  • Develop statistical models and methodologies to predict, quantify, or forecast various operational and performance metrics.
  • Oversee project assignments and manage the utilization of one offshore contractor.
  • Support firm-level initiatives and ad hoc requests as needed.
