The Data Coordinator 2 position at Augusta University serves as the initial point-of-contact for all new studies within the Georgia Cancer Center Clinical Trials office. This role involves processing and routing study documents, coordinating committee reviews, and training new site study personnel to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. The coordinator plays a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency of clinical research operations and contributes to ongoing performance improvement initiatives.

  • Serve as the point-of-contact for all new studies, receiving and processing study documents.
  • Review, track, and route study documents to appropriate personnel for processing.
  • Develop and deliver training on committee review procedures and submission requirements.
  • Assess PRMS practices for alignment with regulations and best practices.
  • Participate in ongoing clinical research performance improvement initiatives.
  • Onboard new staff and coordinate completion of research-required training.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the PRMC and FC, identifying solutions to improve efficiency.
  • Audit information for accuracy and completeness, and facilitate solutions to identified issues.
  • Use metrics to monitor compliance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Lead efforts to improve compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Associate's degree from an accredited college or university, or completion of two years of college coursework with two years of related work experience.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases.
  • Detail-oriented with strong prioritization, multi-tasking, organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience in a clinical or research setting.
