The Office of the District Attorney, Bronx County ("BXDA") is charged with the twin goals of ensuring public safety and striving for equal justice for the over 1.4 million members of the Bronx County community. By "Pursuing Justice with Integrity," the BXDA places a focus on assistance for crime victims while simultaneously ensuring fairness to defendants. Moreover, the BXDA aims to balance the need to seek appropriate punishment for certain crimes while recognizing when punitive measures do not adequately advance justice. By recognizing these significant distinctions and acting accordingly, BXDA has established a standard of excellence in the representation of the Bronx community at large, which continues to grow stronger every day. In furtherance of this mission, the BXDA seeks experienced and enthusiastic Data Content Analyst I. The Information Technology Unit is seeking a Data Content Analyst I who, under supervision, will perform time-sensitive case-tracking functions.

  • Set up and maintain case records of court adjournments and dispositions in case-tracking application systems.
  • Provide case-related inquiry support to internal and external users related to status, court dates, and attorney details.
  • Perform analytical research to evaluate daily external feeds to identify issues or discrepancies; prepare reports, modify, or coordinate fixes and system problem resolutions to verify system health and integrity to ensure data quality.
  • Provide first-level (Level 1) system support by performing diagnostic tests and employing troubleshooting tactics to resolve, coordinate or escalate raised issues in a timely manner.
  • Administer user access control for internal applications, telecommunications system, and coordinate access requests for external applications (including coordination and escalation).
  • Participate in data and system testing related to any system rollouts, including any enhancement or new applications (ex. BXDA, ECMS, CPR, NICE etc.).
  • Provide other related case access/tracking support functions as required.
  • High school graduation or equivalent and three years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to duties described above; or
  • Education and/or experience which is equivalent to the above.
  • An Associate's degree preferred or a High School diploma/GED and a minimum of two (2) years working experience in a law firm, governmental agency, civic or community organization.
  • Familiarity with the Criminal Justice system and/or general court procedures.
  • Strong ability to multi-task various assignments.
  • Strong computer skills, including familiarity and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to organize information in a concise manner.
  • Detail oriented ability to precisely and accurately verify data and correct errors.
  • Public Service Loan Forgiveness eligibility for federal loan forgiveness programs and state repayment assistance programs.
