About The Position

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking a highly qualified Data Configuration Manager to join our mission-focused team. This role offers the opportunity to work with a talented group of professionals dedicated to supporting the Advanced Warfare Capability and Resource Analysis Division (USSPACECOM/J81) and its mission to deliver credible analysis and innovative future capability development for the war fighter. The Data Configuration Manager will ensure the integrity, availability, and security of data within the Capabilities, Analysis, and Verification Environment (CAVE). Responsibilities include maintaining accurate and consistent data across J81 systems, defining and implementing data configuration standards, enforcing change control processes, and using specialized tools to monitor and update configurations across platforms. This position requires strong knowledge of data management and configuration management principles, cybersecurity best practices, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance
  • 5+ year's experience in Data Configuration within the DoD and USSPACECOM
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a demonstrated ability to identify and resolve data inconsistencies
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with developers, analysts, and business stakeholders
  • Ability to write clear documentation, including data standards, procedures, and configuration guidelines
  • Experience working within cross-functional technical environments and supporting complex data workflows
  • BS/BA
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen. A high-level Department of Defense active security clearance is/may be required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information.

  • Understanding of digital engineering or modeling and simulation environments is highly desirable
  • MS/MA

Responsibilities

  • Develop and enforce data configuration policies and procedures to ensure data quality, consistency, and regulatory compliance
  • Define and manage data mappings between systems to support data integration, migration, and interoperability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including IT, software development, analysts, and business stakeholders—to implement configuration changes and resolve data-related issues
  • Document data standards, configuration processes, and workflow procedures clearly and accurately
  • Work with analysts to define data requirements and translate analytical needs into appropriate modeling and simulation approaches
  • Support the digital design, installation, and maintenance of digital capabilities related to data configuration and system integration
