About The Position

Data Collector team members play an integral role in the growth of the institution. They are responsible for collecting exit surveys from guests. Team members must be self-motivated, detail-oriented individuals able to reliably work independently with minimal supervision. This is a part-time, non-exempt position with an expected average of 3 hours per week, though hours may vary based on project needs. Scheduling is flexible, and team members will have the opportunity to indicate their availability each week. Availability for occasional weekdays and weekends during museum operating hours is required. Schedules will be determined collaboratively in advance.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and remain up-to-date with museum events and exhibitions
  • Experience in a museum setting, interest in learning new data collection techniques and social sciences, research and evaluation, psychology or related field is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Approach and interact with museum guests in a friendly and professional manner
  • Attend training sessions on the specific data collection methods and procedures and abide by informed-consent ethical data collection practices
  • Collect quality guest data via digital survey
  • Ensure precision in collection of data
