About The Position
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Data Collector: Assessor will be expected to drive to assigned classrooms to administer tests or classroom observations. Assessments will be conducted at the child’s schools/centers. Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree with a focus or major in child development, early childhood, psychology or related field.
- Knowledge about child development and developmentally appropriate early childhood teaching practices is preferred (e.g. Teacher).
- Experience in classroom settings and/or working with children.
- Working knowledge and the ability to use basic spreadsheet, word-processing, and database and analytical software for data analyses, such as STATA , SAS , R, mplus, and HLM .
- Ability to write, speak, and read Spanish.
- Experience working with Hispanic communities.
Responsibilities
- Scheduling appointments with schools
- Administering the assessments
- Reporting the number of completed assessments on a weekly basis to the Project Coordinator
- Returning completed assessments to NIEER
