The A Player Data Collections Specialist is responsible for interacting with building departments in a professional manner that reflects the core values at BuildFax. This individual is relentless in collecting building permit data, persevering to acquire the highest quality data available. They are resourceful negotiators who find ways to overcome barriers and are self-motivated, arriving on time and taking pride in their work. The Data Collections Specialist takes ownership of each jurisdiction they collect data from, maintaining a positive attitude despite challenges and managing multiple collection efforts simultaneously.

Requirements

• Comfortable in a hard-working, fast-paced team environment.
• Strong desire to meet and exceed expectations through attention to detail.
• 4 years of a college degree or similar preferred.
• Ability to work as a full-time (40 hrs) employee.
• Ability to work a hybrid schedule - 3 days WFH, 2 days in the Asheville, NC office.

Responsibilities

• Collect building permit data by contacting building departments across the U.S. to obtain electronic copies.
• Analyze building permit data to ensure it meets specific quality requirements.
• Practice exceptional organizational techniques by recording all pertinent information using customer relationship management software.
• Strategize about tactics to overcome obstacles and brainstorm solutions with coworkers.
• Continually improve processes by identifying steps that could be optimized.
• Be adept with technology, navigating office tools like CRM, email, Word, Excel, and conducting internet research.
