About The Position

Summary/Objective The Data Entry Clerk is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy of patient, client, billing, and test information entered into the Laboratory Information System. This role demands precision and adherence to CPL policies and procedures, safeguarding confidentiality and compliance regulations. Essential Functions Utilize job knowledge, judgment, and problem-solving skills to maintain work quality. Accurately input all necessary information from USDH or client-specific requisitions into the laboratory information system. Recognize and appropriately address laboratory information system alerts and flags. Identify and rectify unclear or ambiguous information on requisitions. Actively engage in departmental quality assurance practices. Serve as a resource for colleagues requiring assistance or training. Adhere to all departmental policies and procedures regarding data entry. Recognize personal limitations and seek guidance when necessary. Efficiently manage time to meet daily completion goals. Respect and maintain confidentiality of client and patient information. Maintain a positive and collaborative work environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a medical or office setting.
  • Strong typing skills and proficiency with 10-key.
  • Excellent communication abilities via written, verbal, and electronic means.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented production environment.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with EMR systems is preferred.
