The Data Center Installation position involves a variety of tasks related to the setup and maintenance of data center hardware. Contractors will be responsible for receiving shipments of data center hardware and ensuring proper installation and configuration of high-performance computing (HPC) cabinets on the data center floor. This includes placing cabinets according to a specified scheme, ensuring power is connected, and assisting with the installation of rear door heat exchangers. The role also requires the installation of various cables, including fiber optic, network, and power cables, as well as operating crash carts and specialized lifts to move heavy components safely. Additionally, contractors will unbox blades and install them into mainframe cabinets, support hardware checkout by performing necessary repairs, and assist with performance diagnostic analysis on hardware to determine required repair actions. The position requires responsiveness to all requests for hardware actions on blades, switches, cables, and other system components.
