In this role, you will be responsible for the hardware installation and configuration of enterprise servers and cabling infrastructure. You will handle hardware break/fix replacements of Field Replaceable Units (FRUs) and perform rack installations, which include positioning racks, cabling, powering up, and handing off servers to internal provisioning teams. Additionally, you will troubleshoot and resolve Telco connectivity issues, as well as troubleshoot and replace network switch equipment. Communication will be essential as you will work within a ticketing environment supervised by multiple internal Oracle Cloud service owners and teams. You will also document your activities and build or modify Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Your responsibilities will extend to structured cabling, labeling, and troubleshooting of fiber, copper, and telecom cables, as well as installing, fixing, and repairing system power supplies and cabling. You will need to install, remove, and tackle issues in hardware within data center racks without disturbing other hardware and critical infrastructure on site. Maintaining asset inventory and updating internal applications as needed will also be part of your duties. Furthermore, you will participate in and complete training that aligns with corporate objectives to bridge skill gaps and learn new relevant technologies. It is crucial to act within Service Level Agreements (SLA) on the tickets assigned to you in your space.
