About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Data Center Technician (IT Operations Analyst) to join our Data Center Operations team. This role is critical to maintaining the reliability, availability, and performance of our data center environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with physical IT infrastructure, copper and fiber cabling, and enterprise data center operations in a 24/7 high‑availability environment.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong IT troubleshooting skills
  • Familiarity with virtual, blade, and physical servers (VMware, Cisco UCS, HP 3PAR)
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals (Cisco preferred)
  • Enterprise data center experience
  • Proficiency in copper (Cat6, Cat6A) and fiber (single‑mode, multi‑mode) termination and testing
  • Knowledge of data center cabling standards (TIA/EIA) and safety best practices
  • Ability to lift and move equipment weighing 50–70 lbs regularly
  • Comfortable working at heights, including climbing ladders and managing overhead cabling
  • Availability for on‑call support approximately every 4 weeks
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship
  • Must successfully complete all required pre‑employment screenings

Responsibilities

  • Rigorously follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and adhere to ASHRAE and TIA data center standards and best practices
  • Maintain accurate, point‑in‑time tracking of all data center assets
  • Partner with Facilities teams to coordinate preventive maintenance on data center support systems
  • Monitor and maintain data center environmental systems (power, cooling, rack management, and connectivity) to ensure uptime
  • Support provisioning, migration, and decommissioning of servers, storage, and networking equipment
  • Collaborate with network and systems teams to resolve incidents and meet SLA performance targets
  • Document all work activities and maintain accurate asset, inventory, and labeling records
  • Participate in scheduled maintenance windows and on‑call support rotations every 4 weeks or as required
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies and regulatory standards including IP, SOX, ISO, PCI, SOC, and NIST
  • Respond to incident tickets and change requests within SLA requirements
  • Install servers, networking equipment, and storage devices; build out racks and cabinets
  • Coordinate installation and energization of rack PDUs
  • Replace and troubleshoot hardware components (memory, HDD/SSD, power supplies, etc.)
  • Diagnose physical network layer issues
  • Perform copper and fiber cabling, termination, testing, and documentation
