About The Position

We are looking to hire data center technicians for a major technology company on a contract to hire status. Job duties include, but not limited to: - Server/Network/rPDU device rack, stack and cable incl. Cable Management - Rack/MOR Cabling - General supervised Deployment support - Decommission IT equipment (server and network under MSFT supervision), DBD removal only (does not perform any scanning) - Physical audits of datacenter assets - Basic Server (Discrete/Rack-based) repair following documented procedures - Physically assist in moving and racking equipment - Maintain data center facilities removing debris and empty boxes once no longer needed - Hard drive shredding - Moving Locked DBD Bins to shred area - Audit and inventory management support & spine clean up - Physical audit of drinks/stationary on campus and reorder as necessary through CBRE/Staples - Perform rack movement This organization is operating on an A & B shift working 12 hour shifts. The schedule requires some weekend work, so must be willing to work either Saturday or Sunday. Will need to wear appropriate PPE during your shifts. Most PPE will be provided to you through onboarding PPE Requirements: Hands: Level 5 cut/abrasion/impact- resistant gloves Feet: Hard-toe work boots (footwear must cover the ankle and conform to ASTM F-2412, “Standard Test Methods for Foot Protection”, and ASTM F-2413, “Standard Specification for Performance Requirements for Protective Footwear
