About The Position

In this role, you will be responsible for the hardware installation and configuration of enterprise servers and cabling infrastructure. You will handle hardware break/fix replacements of Field Replaceable Units (FRUs) and perform rack installations, which include positioning racks, cabling, powering up, and handing off servers to internal provisioning teams. Additionally, you will troubleshoot and resolve Telco connectivity issues and replace network switch equipment as necessary. Communication will be essential as you will work within a ticketing environment supervised by multiple internal Oracle Cloud service owners and teams. You will also document your activities and build or modify Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Responsibilities

• Hardware installation & configuration of enterprise servers and cabling infrastructure.
• Hardware Break/Fix replacement of FRUs.
• Rack installation including putting racks in place, cabling, power up and hand-off of servers to internal provisioning teams.
• Troubleshooting and resolve Telco Connectivity issues.
• Troubleshoot & Replace Network Switch equipment.
• Communicate within a ticketing environment used and supervised by multiple internal Oracle Cloud service owners and teams.
• Documentation of activities and build/modify SOPs.
• Structured cabling, labeling, and troubleshooting of fiber/copper/telecom cables.
• System power supplies and cabling install, fix and repair.
• Install, Remove, tackle issues in hardware in data centers racks without disturbing other hardware and critical infrastructure on site.
• Maintain asset inventory and update internal application as needed.
• Participate and complete training that aligns with corporate objectives to bridge skill gaps and learn new relevant technologies.
• Act within Service Level Agreements (SLA) on the tickets assigned to you.
