As a member of an onsite Field Team, the Infrastructure Technician III will participate in the installation of Mission Critical Structured Cabling Systems in a Data Center environment. This position emphasizes safety, quality, and adherence to industry standards while working on critical cabling and network infrastructure.

  • Installation / decommissioning of critical cabling and network infrastructure in a Data Center environment.
  • Exhibit high level of Safety and Quality on all work.
  • Follow all Safety, Quality and Production standards, codes, and industry best practices.
  • Read, comprehend, and adhere to project design drawings and plans, specifications, manufacturer recommendations, and installation standards.
  • Maintain work area organization and good housekeeping.
  • Organize materials, tools, and equipment, collect debris, and ensure hazardous conditions are promptly and appropriately addressed.
  • Teach and mentor lesser experienced Infrastructure Technicians.
  • Maintain compliance with respective customers' Safety, Quality, security and site access policies and requirements.
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.
  • 5+ years' experience as an Infrastructure Technician III.
  • OSHA 10 preferred - must obtain within 90 days of hire.
  • First Aid / CPR certificate within 90 days of hire.
  • Knowledge in the safe and appropriate use of basic hand tools for the Telecom and Construction Industry.
  • Ability to listen carefully and follow instructions.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a proactive contributor to a Team.
  • Ability to train, teach and enhance the skillset of other Infrastructure Technicians in workplace Safety, Quality and Productivity.
  • Able to distinguish color.
  • Proficient in the use of a computer and/or handheld tablet.
  • Read, write, and understand English.
  • Fiber Optic Association Certifications preferred.
  • BICSI Technical Certifications preferred.
