About The Position

We are seeking a motivated Data Center Technician to join our technical operations team. In this role, you will serve as a primary resolver for hardware and infrastructure issues within a fast‑paced, mission‑critical environment. You’ll troubleshoot complex problems, support server hardware, and collaborate with team members to maintain high availability across the data center. This position is ideal for individuals with hands-on technical aptitude, strong attention to detail, and a desire to grow within data center operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1–3 years of experience in data center operations or a related technical field.
  • Foundational networking knowledge, including understanding of TCP/IP.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Daily passage through metal detection screening.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
  • Work in environments with temperature fluctuations based on seasonal and operational conditions.
  • Exposure to airborne particles, dust, and environmental allergens.
  • Strict adherence to safety and security protocols.
  • Ability to understand power paths, cabling standards, hardware layouts, environmental telemetry, and root‑cause behaviors. Technicians must be comfortable investigating rack‑level issues, cabling faults, and equipment anomalies.
  • Data centers operate 24/7. Technicians must respond quickly to alarms, power events, thermal excursions, and infrastructure issues to maintain uptime and prevent customer impact.
  • Precision in cabling, labeling, patching, power installations, and inspections is essential. High standards ensure reliability, safety, and audit readiness.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with GPU hardware or high‑performance compute environments.
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve hardware infrastructure issues across server and network equipment.
  • Perform break/fix tasks, system checks, and basic to intermediate system administration activities.
  • Follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures with precision.
  • Collaborate with team members to share knowledge and support ongoing operations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, incidents, and resolutions.
  • Ensure compliance with security, safety, and operational protocols.
