About The Position

The Data Center Strategy & Planning Manager at Meta is responsible for developing and implementing infrastructure strategies that support the company's global data center roadmap. This role involves driving investment decisions, optimizing data center operations, and leading transformational initiatives to enhance efficiency and scalability. The manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the data center infrastructure meets the growing demands of Meta's products and services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a directly related field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 12+ years of experience in Infrastructure/Cloud/Hardware with a focus on Strategy, Capacity Planning, and Supply Chain Optimization.
  • Experience in distilling diverse data points into actionable insights for executive communication.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with experience engaging with analysts and data science teams.
  • Problem-solving experience with a focus on opportunity identification and data-driven segmentation.
  • Technical experience in infrastructure or hardware design.

  • Master's Degree or MBA
  • 15+ years of experience in Infrastructure/Cloud/Hardware with a background in Strategy and Capacity Planning.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and build large transformational programs and initiatives across Infrastructure to scale Meta's Data Center footprint efficiently.
  • Develop new Data Center planning strategies focusing on reliability, cost efficiency, and operational improvements.
  • Optimize network, hardware, and data center infrastructure to drive total cost of ownership (TCO) savings.
  • Create detailed project evaluation plans for data center evolution and drive closure on initiatives.
  • Apply quantitative techniques to inform multi-billion dollar infrastructure decisions at the executive level.
  • Own the communications strategy for data center planning decisions, including executive briefs and project updates.
  • Use technical judgment to evaluate new projects, technology reviews, and build consensus.
