About this role We are seeking a motivated and skilled Data Center Service Engineer to support our expanding data center sites across North America. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the equipment being installed for data center customers, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Additionally, you will play an integral part in training and mentoring technicians involved in new data center start-ups.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5+ years of experience in the Data Center or HVAC industry in a technical support role.
  • 1+ years of experience with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Clean and valid driver’s license
  • Travel to and from data centers on an as needed basis.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized college or university in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or building HVAC.
  • An understanding of Data Center equipment.
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams.
  • Strong problem solving, planning and management skills.
  • Ability to read and understand scope of work.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in dealing with a number of simultaneous challenges, requiring knowledge of many different disciplines.
  • A true team player who has the customer’s best interests first and foremost

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for data center equipment at multiple sites.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data center operations and resolve escalated issues.
  • Assist in onboarding and training technical staff for data center start-up projects.
  • Provide customer training for our customers and their staff on the equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures at all times.
