About the position
Amazon Web Services (AWS) serves customers and developers who rely on storage, compute, and our other service capabilities. Our customers trust us to handle their data with air-tight security measures, which is something that we guarantee. AWS is growing rapidly, and we are looking for a Data Center Security Manager (DSM) to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team, who will help manage and improve site security operations in our data centers.
Responsibilities
- Managing physical security operations
- Developing post orders
- Defining security procedures
- Handling site incidents
- Working with security equipment
- Participating in construction projects
- Driving day-to-day process improvement activities
- Managing vendors
- Ensuring consistent deployment of all required security policies and procedures
- Participating in re-occurring site audits and reviews
- Testing new security technologies
Requirements
- 3+ years overseeing security operations and personnel
- 2+ years experience in security patrolling and reporting
- 2+ years experience working with security vendors and contractors
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in access control and video surveillance software applications (LENEL or C-cure)
- Experience with workflow ticketing and extraction of performance metrics
- Military or government security experience
