About The Position

The Data Center Product Manager – PDU & RPP is responsible for defining the strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle management of Hyper Solutions’ panelboards, Remote Power Panels (RPP), Power Distribution Units (PDU), and related low-voltage power distribution solutions. This role is central to delivering reliable, scalable, and cost-effective power distribution products for mission-critical data center environments. Serving as the voice of the customer and market, this position works closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Sales, and Quality to translate customer requirements into clear product definitions and drive successful product development and launches in engineered-to-order (ETO) and configured-to-order (CTO) environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field; Master’s degree a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical or power distribution equipment, ideally supporting data center or mission-critical environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of panelboards, RPPs, PDUs, or similar low-voltage power distribution products.
  • Experience supporting mission-critical infrastructure for data centers.
  • Experience leading product development, enhancement, and launch activities in cross-functional environments.
  • Familiarity with UL, NEC, IEC, and related regulatory and compliance standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in engineered-to-order (ETO) or configured-to-order (CTO) industrial manufacturing environments.
  • Experience working closely with Applications Engineering or Sales Engineering teams.
  • Exposure to hyperscale, colocation, or enterprise data center customers.

Responsibilities

  • Define and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for panelboards, RPPs, PDUs, and related data center power distribution solutions.
  • Engage directly with customers, Sales, and Applications Engineering to understand requirements and translate them into clear product specifications and feature definitions.
  • Partner with Engineering and R&D to drive product development, enhancements, and lifecycle improvements from concept through launch.
  • Ensure products meet applicable electrical, safety, and compliance standards, including UL, NEC, IEC, and customer-specific requirements.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of low-voltage power distribution systems, architectures, and emerging technologies.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities within the data center power landscape.
  • Lead product launches and coordinate with Marketing, Sales, and Operations to ensure successful market introduction and adoption.
  • Support Sales pursuits with product positioning, technical clarity, and early-stage solution definition.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to balance standardization, configurability, cost, lead time, and performance.
  • Collect and synthesize Voice of Customer (VOC) feedback to guide roadmap evolution and continuous improvement.
  • Support post-launch product performance reviews and lifecycle decision-making.
