About The Position

The Data Center Technician Intern will join the Infrastructure Operations team at Amazon Web Services (AWS) to support the maintenance of critical physical infrastructure. This role focuses on troubleshooting hardware, network, and Linux issues while ensuring excellent customer service within the data centers. The intern will be involved in hardware diagnostics, physical repairs, equipment installation, documentation creation, and problem-solving in a 24/7 operational environment.

Requirements

• 2+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience.
• 1+ years of computer networking experience.
• High school or equivalent diploma.

• Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution.
• Ability to operate efficiently under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot hardware, network, and Linux issues.
• Maintain first-class customer service to teams within the data centers.
• Perform hardware and network diagnostics followed by physical repair.
• Participate in an on-call rotation as needed.
• Install equipment and create documentation.
• Innovate solutions and fix problems within the Data Center Space.
