Title Data Center Manager Reports To Director, HPC Operations The Job Provides direct supervision to professional contributors and/or skilled support to individual contributors. Acts as a guide to site operations teams, vendors, and contractors and may become actively involved, as required, to meet operational standards, project schedules, and resolve problems. Creates a culture of professionalism and operational excellence, fostering a workplace where people love to work and build a career.

Requirements

A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, a related field , or equivalent experience is required
5 + years of progressively responsible data center-related experience is
1 year of supervisory/leadership experience is
Strong leadership and team-building skills are
Exceptional understanding of network, electrical, mechanical , and building systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Working knowledge of HPC computer equipment and network infrastructure

Nice To Haves

An advanced degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide direct supervision to the Data Center Technicians , overall data center supervision, and routine operational plans
Ensures the team is fulfilling responsibilities on time and projects are progressing, as expected.
Manage payroll , positioning, hire/fire, reviews, coaching , and development.
Assists with testing and coordinating projects and maintenance.
Plan, coordinate, budget, and implement resources to complete projects and maintenance within the data center.
Meets target typically against a monthly plan.
Assists with new construction commissioning, as necessary, documenting and reporting all problems.
Communicates and coordinates activities and on-site staff during an incident
Foster open, respectful, and professional communication directly within the team as well as with co-workers/ teammates and leaders across the organization.
Performs other duties as assigned.
