About The Position

Another Source’s client, Sabey Data Centers, is recruiting three Data Center Maintenance Technicians to join their team on-site in Quincy, WA. This is a great opportunity to build hands-on technical expertise in a mission-critical environment while contributing to the operations of a leading national data center provider. Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for the first 90 days. After that, it shifts to either Sunday through Thursday or Tuesday through Saturday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The Data Center Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and peak performance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems within the data center facility. This role is essential to ensuring stable environmental conditions that support seamless data center operations. Technicians will work outdoors in all weather conditions and must be self-motivated, proactive, and effective team players. In addition to HVAC maintenance, technicians may be assigned other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma.
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools.
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions.
  • Attention to detail in cleaning and maintenance.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to data center-specific HVAC procedures.
  • Aptitude and willingness to learn and utilize AI tools and technology.
  • Interface with technology and digital tools.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.
  • Physically capable of stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs and ladders, and lifting 50+ lbs.
  • Work independently with minimal instruction.
  • Adhere to company information security policies by protecting credentials and reporting potential threats.

Responsibilities

  • HVAC Equipment Cleaning Perform comprehensive cleaning of HVAC systems, including air handling units, ductwork, filters, coils, fans, and condensers.
  • Use industry-standard techniques and materials to remove dust, debris, and contaminants, optimizing performance and efficiency.
  • Filter Replacement Replace air filters on a scheduled basis to maintain optimal air quality and system functionality.
  • Keep detailed records of filter replacements and manage inventory to ensure timely replacements.
  • Condenser and Coil Maintenance Inspect and clean condenser coils to enhance air conditioning efficiency.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on evaporator and condenser coils to prevent issues related to dirt buildup or restricted airflow.
  • Ventilation System Maintenance Maintain and clean ventilation components, including ductwork and exhaust systems.
  • Inspect systems regularly to ensure proper airflow, temperature control, and operational efficiency.
  • Documentation and Reporting Maintain logs of maintenance activities, inspections, and schedules.
  • Generate reports to document HVAC equipment status, maintenance history, and compliance with operational standards.
  • Collaboration and Support Work closely with data center operations teams to align HVAC maintenance with facility requirements.
  • Support installations, upgrades, and projects involving HVAC systems.
  • Safety and Compliance Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
  • Promote a culture of safety and report concerns or incidents promptly.
