About The Position

OBXtek is currently seeking a Data Center Lead for a contract to support the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center. The Data Center Lead position will serve as the lead of the Data Center Operations, which includes the responsibilities of proper configuration and support of domain system servers, SAN, backup systems, identity management, security of the datacenter. The duties include planning, installation, maintenance during or after-work hours, troubleshooting, and managing all servers and applications. The duties will include assessment of customer needs and implementation of improved configurations for customer needs.

Requirements

• BA/BS from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 5+ years experience or AA/AS with 7+ years experience.
• IAT Level II Certification (CySA+, Security+, CND, or SSCP) and CE/OS Certification.
• 7 years of progressive experience as a system administrator.
• Experience leading a team.
• Experience maintaining a high availability datacenter.
• Experience with Amazon, Microsoft, or Google cloud services.
• Experience with VMware vSphere platform.
• Extensive experience in application development/sustainment and operational support for large, highly scalable applications.
