The Data Center GPU organization is transforming the industry with AI-based Graphic Processors, focusing on designing exceptional products that drive the evolution of computing experiences. We are currently looking for a senior member of technical staff to join our team working on the next generation AMD Datacenter Instinct GPU products, acting as the primary debug lead for manufacturing issues and post-silicon validation.

Requirements

  • Experience in managing complex Software/Hardware/FW program execution from new product introduction (NPI) through production.
  • Strong background in ASIC, Validation, understanding SW/HW/FW interactions.
  • Experience leading strategic tech initiatives, optimizing operations with business goals.
  • Proven track record in boosting team productivity, driving cross-functional execution, and enhancing stakeholder engagement among cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of tools of the trade: Python, ML perf WLs, SQL, Office365, JIRA system, Kanban, Confluence, Power BI, AGILE Methodology.
  • Work experience in pre-silicon validation is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Drive cross functional debug by working closely with domain leads to understand the nature of issues seen in manufacturing due to volume screening including 'marginality' during NPI phase.
  • Drive E2E manufacturing test content coverage across SLT, OAM/EAM, UBB/Compute Tray, Rack level and Cluster level.
  • Partner with various domain teams to define tests that help collect data to augment validation and factor in known industry best practices for testing.
  • Point of contact to data mine manufacturing logs to understand RMA related failures, work with Quality team to assess RMA data to understand escapes and help to close any test coverage gaps.
  • Analyze early life failures during NPI phase that gives insight into escapes to customers.
  • Look at bone pile failures to correlate any corner case escapes to customers and validation labs.
  • Enhance high volume manufacturing content flow and perform test coverage audits to reduce test time, optimize finding marginality, defectivity, and early life fails thereby minimizing escapes.
