About The Position

The Data Center General Superintendent is responsible for overall direction for field installation of the assigned project. They own direct responsibility for “field labor, labor coordination, quality control, and safety” on assigned projects. They represent the Company on the project site and ensures that the installation functions as designed and satisfies the contracted scope.

Requirements

  • Must have 10+ years superintendent commercial construction experience in the areas of Mechanical/Plumbing/HVAC large projects.
  • Experience in the mechanical construction of large Data Center projects $10+ million.
  • Well versed in the industry and the Company’s competitors.
  • Communication and management skills to improve the team.
  • Team oriented, guides direct reports and works hand in hand with Admin personnel.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Has computer skills in emails, excel, word, Procore and more.
  • Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Full responsibility for quality installation of the project.
  • Works with Safety to ensure all work is done is compliance with ENFRA Safety Policy and OSHA guidelines.
  • Reviews submittals for accuracy and compliance.
  • Identifies potential change orders, discusses cost impacts with management team so cost can be recovered.
  • Customer relations.
  • Conducts weekly safety meetings.
  • Schedules manpower with Admin staff so that manpower can be added in a timely manor so that background checks and drug screens can be completed before they are needed onsite.
  • Interprets plumbing and HVAC drawings for craft installation.
  • Plans, schedules, and coordinates on-site functions.
  • Performs material take-offs, orders tools, materials, and equipment in a timely fashion to maximize field productivity.
  • Ensures all on-site employees comply with OSHA standards & company work rules.
  • Schedules equipment deliveries with GC and periodic inspections by governing authorities.
  • Administers construction contract.
  • Monitors labor reporting, job cost reviews, and prepare timesheets and two weeks look ahead.
  • Brings the job in on time and under budget.
  • Works a six day work week, ten hour per day shift.
