About The Position

We serve a diverse clientele including retail fueling stations, commercial and government fleets, and emergency power customers. The Data Center Fuel System Superintendent takes the leadership role on the job site ensuring prompt, efficient progress of the work. The Fuel System Superintendent determines priorities for work to be done, based on the tasks schedule, project requirements, management direction and customer requirements.

Requirements

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to safely operate a construction truck and tow small trailers when needed.
  • Certifications and experience on related petroleum piping and products required.
  • Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
  • 3-5 years of petroleum industry experience
  • Experience and knowledge of project management tools.
  • Budget building knowledge.
  • Proficiency in planning, organizing, and prioritizing.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Direct Supervision of all JF Crewmembers and all onsite subcontractors.
  • Direct Supervision of the installation of the installation of the tanks, piping systems, electrical systems, control systems and related project materials.
  • Communicate to all site staff members any specific requirements for completing the project in a safe, timely, and profitable manner.
  • Communicate with the customer or their on-site representative respective of the projects progress and any other requirements or issues that may arise.
  • Ability to read and understand applicable plans and specifications, environmental regulations, fire and building codes that must be enforced on the site.
  • Lead the following meetings (as applicable): Pre-Construction Meetings Safety Meetings Progress Meetings Inspection Meetings Commissioning Meetings
  • Keep accurate daily records on each project. This should include, as a minimum, a record of all tests, inspections, the daily progress on the job, visitors to the job and situations that may affect the project schedule.
  • Lead and be responsible for the enforcing of all Company Policies and Procedures.
  • Supervise the daily activities of all workers, subcontractors and material suppliers onsite.
  • Responsible for developing, maintaining and conveying the project schedule.
  • Supervise and be responsible for all onsite “training” ensure all personnel receive and utilize the project training provided.
  • Enforce all mandatory safety rules
  • Be aware of potential hazards and correct.
  • Require the use of the proper personal protective equipment by all crew members and subcontractors.
  • Lead weekly job-site safety meetings
  • Ensure a positive Company image including the following: The personal appearance of each crew member should be clean and in compliance with Company policy. Each vehicle must be clean and orderly. The job site should be kept orderly and free of safety hazards. The conduct of each crew member should be professional and courteous.
  • Supervise and maintain all vehicles and equipment in compliance with departmental preventive maintenance policies.
  • Do not allow unsafe conditions to exist on the vehicles or piece of equipment.
  • Vehicles should be washed and cleaned weekly.
