About The Position

Our client is seeking a Data Center & Cloud Architect The Data Center & Cloud Architect will design and manage data center and cloud infrastructure. This role involves strong servant leadership, strategic planning and hands-on support during operations and responsible for architecting scalable, secure systems that support manufacturing and business needs. As a Senior/Lead Datacenter & Cloud Engineer will handle installation, configuration, troubleshooting, optimization, and guide the team through complex challenges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required
  • 6+ years in cloud engineering and data center management
  • Minimum 3 years in architecture or senior engineering role
  • Expertise in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud); Azure preferred
  • Significant hands-on experience with hybrid IT environments, including both on-premises data centers and public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP); Azure preferred
  • Strong knowledge of on-premises data center infrastructure, including servers and storage, networking, wireless, firewalls, security, and virtualization
  • Proficiency in automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Python)
  • Collaboration skills to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to prioritize and manage several projects at one time

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in manufacturing environment is a plus
  • Microsoft Azure Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Google Cloud Architect is a plus; Azure preferred
  • Additional certifications in security, networking or data center technologies is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Proven experience guiding technical team engagements and providing effective servant leadership, collaboration, and teamwork.
  • Architect, implement, manage, and maintain enterprise-scale infrastructure solutions across both on-premises and Azure cloud platforms.
  • Act as the go-to Senior/Lead Cloud Engineer during operations, resolving issues, optimizing performance, and ensuring up time.
  • Design and manage hybrid cloud solutions, integrating on-premises and cloud environments effectively.
  • Implement security protocols and ensure compliance with industry standards across all environments.
  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure security principles, including identity and access management, network segmentation, and cloud security controls.
  • Continuously monitor and optimize cloud resources to balance cost efficiency with high performance.
  • Design and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for cloud and data center operations.
  • Lead projects from concept through implementation, coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet deadlines and objectives.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation on architecture, configurations, and processes.
