This role sits at the center of strategy, analytics, and vendor enablement—helping OpCos execute smarter and faster across a booming segment.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years in market research, competitive intelligence, or business analytics.
  • Advanced Excel (pivots, formulas) and data visualization skills (Power BI preferred; Tableau/Qlik welcome; GIS mapping a plus).
  • Clear written/verbal communication and the ability to synthesize complex info into practical recommendations.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with the data center construction/electrical contracting space is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Track the market. Research U.S. data center trends, active and upcoming builds, regional hotspots, competitor moves, and pricing shifts; maintain heat maps and project trackers; publish quarterly competitive summaries and an annual outlook.
  • Analyze performance. Tie OpCo sales trends (by customer, vendor, category) to market activity; flag gaps/opportunities/risks; support budgeting, forecasting, and KPI visibility for the data center vertical.
  • Raise data quality. Partner with OpCos to strengthen data governance and SOP alignment; investigate discrepancies and drive data integrity improvements.
  • Build dashboards. Create and maintain leadership‑ready Power BI/Tableau views that highlight trends, growth opportunities, and performance gaps for national, regional, and OpCo use.
  • Enable vendors. Provide analytical support for key supplier partnerships (category performance, POS trends, demand signals) and assist with business reviews and executive presentations.
